Getting Fit After Having A Baby

When I had my first child, I was in awe of how beautiful she was. After looking in the mirror, I was not quite as happy about what I looked like. The skin on my stomach was sagging. My abdominal muscles had no tone at all. The worst thing of all, though, was the foods that I craved during pregnancy were now firmly attached to my hips and thighs. I knew that if I didn’t make the effort to get fit as soon as possible that time would slip away and I would still be unhappy with my appearance at my daughter’s first birthday.

I had done some reading on the importance of postnatal fitness. It offers many potential benefits for new mothers. It helps you drop that annoying leftover weight and gives you an energy boost. It is also said to be a good deterrent for postpartum depression.

My original purpose in breastfeeding my daughter was for her health but then I soon learned it could help me too. I started to eat better when I knew my daughter was getting her daily nutrition from me. It also helped me burn off a lot of unwanted calories. Between the diet, the breastfeeding, and the better diet, I started to lose a few pounds.

Since a large portion of your body’s fluids is passed out through the breast milk, I started to drink a bit more water than normal. This also helped give my weight loss a boost. However, I knew that there was more I had to do to return the shape of my thighs and hips. Because the doctor forbade me from a hard workout, I started to walk because it is a low impact exercise. Regular strollers cannot handle jogging, so I started to look for strollers that would.

After looking at all my options, I finally found a baby jogger pushchair that I liked. Once I had my stroller, I started taking my daughter to the nearby lake so we could walk the path that circled it. It gave us a chance to get outside and get fresh air while I slowly returned my body to its pre-pregnancy shape.

As soon as I got the ok from my doctor that I could exercise normally, we picked up the pace. At first, I was worried that the stroller could not handle me running. However, it gave us both a smooth ride and an enjoyable time together.

It wasn’t long until I started noticing other moms walking the lake with their kids in their baby jogger pushchairs. Apparently, I was not the only mom with the idea. It worked out good for all of us because the children loved riding and got to not only work out, but also talk to others in the same situation.

When the pounds started to disappear, I added to my workout strength training for some tone. It was not too long after that the flabby skin smoothed out and tightened in all areas. Today I look better than I did before I was pregnant.

Of all the fitness related products I have purchased throughout the years, I would say that the jogging stroller is my favorite. No other product can allow you to have a great work out and spend time with your child simultaneously and comfortably. Even now that she is a little bit older, we still go to the track near the lake and jog around in her stroller.

If you liked to jog or walk before you even got pregnant, it is an easy way to get your body back into the shape you want. A jogging stroller is created to comfortably ride your child safely while allowing you to do your jogging and hold on. These strollers will most of the time cost more than normal ones but they do not have the same unique abilities that the pushchair strollers do. That fact will make the price worth it. Just picture you and your baby jogging together safely and comfortably.

Before you choose the jogger stroller for you come and see the awesome range of the latest baby jogger pushchairs, you wont believe how easy it is to get fit whilst spedning time with your little one.
