    Lyle McDonald RULES. He IS correct. Walking is important , sprinting now and then short, and complete recovery between sprints, and diet is the MOST important.

    All are important tools with DIET 90 % of it.

    Let’s do another example if that same 250 pound man WALKS A MARATHON (75 calories burned per mile walked) he will burn 1,950 calories after walking the 26 mile Marathon . If he walked a Marathon EVERYDAY for a month he would burn 58,500 calories . That is around 16-17 pounds in a month BY EXERCISE ALONE- WALKING A MARATHON EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR A MONTH

    That is A LOT of work

    Let’s take a large guy - 250 pounds. If this guy goes out and runs 3 miles this will burn FAR MORE calories than HIIT, MUCH MORE.

    The formula is 250 X.63 for the NET calorie burn, the REAL calorie burn. He will have burned 472 calories. THIS IS TWICE the calorie burn of of HIIT .

    What is your BMI? chances are if your very thin and you have a belly then that means you have too much fat for the amount of lean(Muscle, water, etc) on your body. So yes, if you lost the fat you would be VERY thin.
