Of All The Foods That Speed Up Metabolism…Veggies Are The Best!

Picture this…

Of all the foods that speed up metabolism - which we feel as increased energy - vegetables are tastiest, good for you and fairly low in cost. But then, you already knew that.

You’ve been trying to eat a better, more balanced diet and you try to include foods that speed up metabolism so you’ve been eating plenty of vegetables. But for some unknown reason, you barely have the energy to get through the day.

By the time you get home from work all you want to do is plant yourself in front of the TV and relax until bedtime.

In the morning when the alarm goes off - and after pounding on the snooze button as often as you can, you finally drag yourself out of bed. You aren’t rested at ALL - it feels like you just ran a marathon! As ALWAYS, the coffee pot is your first destination.

All these years you’ve been blaming your bed but maybe you’re dragging because you aren’t getting the nutrition you need! Foods that speed up metabolism and give you the proper nutrition will generate a lot of energy - but only if you eat them correctly. Were you aware that vitamins are water soluble? It matters.

Boiling is the most prevalent way of cooking vegetables. But, boiling means you’re dissolving the vitamins and minerals! You literally pour them into the kitchen sink! What’s left - by comparison - is barely enough to keep you alive!

The good news is, there is an easy fix…most vegetables can not only be eaten raw but taste better that way! Whenever you have the chance, you should eat them raw.

Eating your veggies raw provides a lot of great benefits…

First off, you’ll stop wasting all those nutrients. Possibly for the first time EVER, your body will start getting the vitamins and minerals it needs. You will feel better in general and will notice a bump in your energy levels almost immediately.

Second, they just flat out taste better.

Third, you save on having to clean up the cooking utensils.

Fourth, LOUDLY chomping down on a crisp celery stalk or carrot stick can be your revenge against a family that can be nonsupporting at times. Do it right and you can blow trains of thought totally out of the water. You can disrupt conversations and generally drive people nuts. Just wait until later to start laughing! (Try it - it’s funny. Maturity is highly overrated.)

Fifth, raw vegetables provide a lot of good fiber and roughage.

Don’t forget, they taste better too!

Here is your next project… Eat at least one vegetable at every meal, raw.

Vegetables do have chemical and pesticide residues on them when you get them from the store. Be sure to clean them thoroughly. For a healthier option, if you want to cut out the pesticides, try to buy organic vegetables.

Do you take a daily vitamin supplement? If not you should probably start. The average diet does NOT provide all the nutrients our body needs.

Don’t skip your vitamins, but as you start to eat healthier foods that speed up metabolism and start getting the nutrients you need in your food, you won’t so desperately need daily vitamins.

Start eating your veggies raw and soon you will be one of those annoying people who bound out of bed in the morning raring to go and full of energy.
