I myself have recently become a semi vegetarian. Meaning that I only eat meat and fish 2 days a week. I still have been gaining some muscle mass. Meats are not the only source of protein, vitamin b12 and b9, and unsaturated fat. There is soy protein, and organic supplements too that offer those nutrition that normally meats have. I have a friend that is vegan and is big and muscular as many famous bodybuilders out there.

chicken has very high amounts of fat
red meat has very high amounts of protein and good bacteria that ur imune system needs…u just gotta balance it up becuz at the end of the day they are all essential

If you only eat without exercising you can also get fat by chicken.

Try the Power Protein Diet. It’s like atkins but focuses on more protein. You will lose fat and gain muscle. I have been on it for two months and lost ten lbs of fat while lean body mass remained constant.

Make sure it’s lean, or you’re going to get overweight. Also, white meat is better, especially fish, and it is really hearty.

Do interval, it increases your metabolism, and normal running in a steady pace will make your metabolism slower. If you go to the treadmill one day running for 30 minutes, you’ll burn about 300 calories, and if you keep doing it, your body gets used to it, and it will take an hour or 45 minutes to burn 300 calories. Sprinting in your jogging will make you burn fat while you are sleeping for weeks and that helps you get those nice abs that you always wanted!

do you mean 38 minutes of non stop intense running?
April 21st, 2009 at 8:13 am
That’s what makes it a fat burning exercise.

You can get ripped if you watch how many calories you take per day and how much protein you take. Also do alot of cardio especially running on the threadmill. Four times a week 38 minutes. If you do them all you will have a sexy ripped body like mine eh.

I gave an issue with the weight loss. I am a powerlifter and am already at the ideal weight for my weightclass (about 2lbs heavy, but its offseason atm)….I have sum definition and you can see the beginning of a sixpac, but I’m afraid if I do burn fat I may loose dominance. Never dieted, but I don’t eat chips or cookies and don’t drink softdrinks. I want to loose the weight but am kinda afraid to…

April 21st, 2009 at 8:13 am
thanks, i eat red meat a lot. beef is good
April 21st, 2009 at 8:13 am
yes, if u can cut out the unnecessary BS of course..
indulge in foods that take alot of energy for ur body to digest…like red meats, vegetables and fish/poultry..(burn while u eat…lol)
and try to stay lean on the pastas/rice/breads…those foods are really easy for ur body to use thats why they gain on us so fast…..
April 21st, 2009 at 8:13 am
so i can get ripped without dieting a great deal?
April 21st, 2009 at 8:13 am
Isn’t the stance a little wide on the Dead Lift?
April 21st, 2009 at 8:13 am
Then you should just focus on regular exercise, ad good nutrition. You shouldn’t start doing these body building workouts until your 17, really, cuz your body is still growing and developing and you don’t want to screw it over.
